Each day, from start to finish, the workers cleaned up, leaving the area as neat as possible until their return. Removed, repaired the damaged parquet floor and refinshed with natural stain color.
We were stunned to see the how good our floors looked after the work was done.  Our teak parquet floors were thin and fragile, but Marian and his crew worked with extreme care and attention to detail.  They really know what they are doing.

The job involved refinishing and repairing 800 sqft of teak parquet floor tiles, sanding the entire area (removing the existing ebony-colored stain), replacing missing and damaged wood in 10sqft area with custom-cut oak, and finally applying 3 coats of polyurethane oil-based satin finish.

The previous property owner hired a BAD flooring company and regretted it. This other company stained the wood improperly and then resorted to covering up the beautiful teak with a dark ebony stain.  We assumed that we were stuck with a black floor.  However, Marian used a small sander in a closet to show how the ebony stain could be removed, without removing more than maybe a millimeter off of the delicate quarter-inch parquet tiles.  He answered all of my questions and he understood and followed all of my special requests for the job.

The work was excellent and service was prompt and friendly.  There are probably companies out there that will do a hardwood refinishing job for a cheaper rate, but my experience is that it pays to get a real expert like Marian.

This Was not a regular job for him but after 3 weeks he delivered exactly what we wanted. Marian is very knowledgeable, focused on details, trustworthy, professional and very, very good at his profession. The white oak design, borders and the stairs has precise cuts and measurements, even our architect was amazed. Over-all he did an awesome job and i would recommend him to anyone, and in fact, already have. I am absolutely thrilled with the work. Do not hesitate to use him.

This is a long overdue review for Marian and his crew of talented and hardworking flooring professionals and I hope this bears the weight it should.  I am a practicing home inspector who has also remodeled my fair share of projects over the years.  I have seen a fair amount of the good and an awful amount of the bad.  I was introduced to Marian back in 2003 to handle a couple of homes I was working on and I haven’t looked back since. Every job he has ever worked on that I have either hired him for or seen has been excellent.  He WILL NOT complete the job until it meets his critical eye nor will he sell you something that he thinks you don’t need.  Fairly priced and very communicative are two descriptions I could give among many others.  He is a flooring professional from the get go.It has been nearly ten years since my first project with Midwest and guess who did my own personal home when it was time?  You are correct, there was never a second’s doubt that he was going to be my guy on job.  Our floors were not easy to work with–we used salvaged oak with many a funky board, knot, swale, swirl, pock mark, etc.  They turned out beautifully and we are complemented every time a new guest arrives and asks what/how/who/why about them.  You will not be disappointed nor will you have to worry about the finished project.  Tell them what you want, hire them, and then let them do what they do best.  You will be thrilled.

We Removed  the old hardwood floor and installed new floating  engineered  wood floor over cork (for a soundproofing barrier).
Marian was positive and professional at all times.  I had engineered floating flooring installed over 680 square feet of my one bedroom condo.  He was willing to deal with the complications of working in a high rise building; in a confined space that was fully furnished.  He worked with the building manager providing all necessary documentation prior to the installation.  I selected the bamboo from samples he brought to my home.  He ordered and picked up all of the materials.  

This job also included removing carpeting and old base boards, as well as moving furniture.  The entire project took 4 days.  Every morning Marian and his assistant arrived ready to work.  At the end of each day they cleaned up not only inside my condo, but also vacuumed the public corridor outside of my condo.  Each day they also removed any debris.  The maintenance guys in my building commented on what a good job they did, and how responsible they were. 

All new baseboards were also installed throughout my condo.  Marian paid great attention to detail, making sure that each aspect of the installation was completed in a way that would look the most professional.  He offered to make improvements that were beyond what the job required.  The finished results are beautiful and all that I had hoped for.  It was a pleasure working with Marian, and I would recommend him without reservation.
